The Internship course is a very important part of the curricula, through it the student applies the theoretical concepts learned during classes and seminars by working in the institutions with which the Department of International Relations and European Studies has concluded partnership agreements.

Each student keeps to an 8 hour weekly internship schedule, during a period of 5 semesters. The internship consists of:

a) working in a public relations department or other departments of the assigned  institution;

b) getting familiar with the working procedures of the departments they will be contacting;

c) participating in organizing activities at the assigned  institution;

d) participating in the writing of documents related with the national and international activity of the assigned  institution;

e) translating documents in foreign languages;

f) participating in other activities that allow for improving knowledge in the field of international relations.

Another important aspect of the Internship course is attending conferences, meetings and seminars organized by the Faculty or Department. Students can benefit from the professors’ experience, but also from national and international specialists that discuss themes of interest for their field.

From the list of public or private institutions from Oradea and Bihor county, we will name a few with which we have yearly partnership agreements for the Internship course: Primăria Municipiului Oradea; Zona Metropolitană Oradea; Instituţia Prefectului Bihor; Consiliul Judeţean Bihor, Consiliul Local al IMM-urilor;  Federaţia Patronilor Bihor; Hotel Continental Forum Oradea.

The International Relations and European Studies specialization has included in the curricula a field trip for students attending bachelor courses.

First year students visit the North-West development Region, second year students, during the course of a week, visit the main state institutions in Romania: the Parliament, the Gouvernment, different ministries etc.

Third year students discover the European Union institutions from Strasbourg, Brussels and Luxembourg and also the UN Center from Vienna. This week long trip will help introduce the students to international institutions.
